Que the rage inducing anti-aesthetics. I do feel bad for this construction company though. They didn’t design it and have had problems the whole project, like building on a hill and after a hard rain a section of the building went down the hill and got scapped off the plans. All this new stuff and it’s all built from wood. Sigh.
I get to go crawl in the attic and see if I and others can access the ducts to wrap in insulation I guess. Crazy.

Not sure what is going on with the roof drains, they look like this everywhere. And that’s a sliding glass door with what appears to be a 6-8” balcony.

That looks like an “oops well it’s easier to redirect the downpipe than change the lowpoint of the roof.” And I’m sure they’d love a real balcony but can’t extend it due to setbacks or something. I mean, you can open the door and stand there, I guess. You just can’t close the door behind you. Ok it sucks.

As an insulator that shit burns my ass like none other.
They knew there would be ductwork/plumbing/etc running through a cold space. Instead of making the respective subtrades use insulated products intended for use on the cold side, or insulating it their damn selves as they install it, or even bringing in mechanical insulators to deal with it, or maybe even at a bare minimum mking sure it’s all taken care of before the ceilings are sealed up, no... they wait until after the fact and usually stick the batt and poly insulators with the task of unfucking the situation. “Oh, just climb up there and wrap everything with batts, it’s not that bad.”

After talking to them, wrapped in R-4, should been R-8. So cut slots through first vapor barrier, re-wrap trunk & ducts, replace flex ducts.
Being 5’5” and 128lb has disadvantages.

The roof drains are probably one as a regular drain and the other is the overflow. So you should never see flow out of the overflow unless there is a problem with the regular drain.

I’m over 6' and closer to 300 than 200, and they’ll happily demand I squeeze myself into all sorts of places where I should not fit (but somehow usually manage to anyway)
I fought tooth and nail to bring the piece rates up, fairly significantly, and negotiated a hourly rate for stuff like this which cannot fairly be billed by the sqft. I still complain, but they end up paying dearly for my discomfort.
I may be a lot of things, but cheap labor ain’t one of them.

Ah, Juliet balconies. Not sure if this is low-income but for a long time that’s the only balcony HUD allowed in high noise areas. Effing stupid.

$1,600/ month. So instead of a big ass window, a sliding glass door will do.
